🏆 2025 Winter Champions 🏆
After an extremely competitive group stage, the knockout rounds did not disappoint! 🔥

💥 In Group Sam, Manchester Thunder were on fire, going undefeated in the group stage and knocking down Super Shots for fun all day. They secured wins over both Knights Netball and London Giants Orange, setting themselves up as the team to beat.

💥 In Group Jane, super team The Janitors—featuring players from Norfolk United, Stunts, and Leeds Fury—also went undefeated, edging out an impressive Thames Mavericks in a thrilling group-stage battle.

⚔️ The knockout stage saw Manchester Thunder, Knights Netball, London Giants, and Henley Fire progress from Group Sam, facing off against The Janitors, Thames Mavericks, Henley Hawks, and Northants Storm from Group Jane.

🔥 The semi-finals set up a rematch between Knights Netball and Manchester Thunder, with Knights reversing their group stage result to book their place in the Grand Final against local rivals London Giants who took the win over The Janitors in the second semi final.

🔥 Knights & Giants group stage battle had ended in a draw, setting up an epic final showdown. With high-intensity and incredible skill on display, Knights Netball were crowned the first-ever EMMNA Men’s Winter Champions! 👑🏐

Congratulations to Knights Netball and a huge well done to all the teams who competed. What an incredible way to start the 2025 men’s netball season! 🚀

The competition was played at the highest level, with intense battles, last-minute drama, and thrilling performances throughout the day. We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the 2025 men’s netball season! 🚀

Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the England Trailblazers Class of ‘24.

From the players, to the staff, it’s true when they say great things are never done by individuals, they’re done by teams. Teams who give it everything on court, and in support.

A team is so much more than the sum of its parts and when everyone is putting in the work, the good times will always come.

And Singapore 2024 was definitely a good time. It was, as Coach Wes would say, a highlight in the story that the group is writing. It is, however, just one chapter and there is more, so much more, yet to come.

If teamwork makes the dream work, let’s keep on dreaming.

‘It’s amazing how far you can go when someone believes in you...’

This is a thank you to the brilliant coaching staff that believed. Thank you for always believing, and supporting the Trailblazers in the bright lights of competition and during the hard work done in private months and months beforehand.

To Wes, thank you for all the brilliant coaching, the planning, the relentless effort, and the wonderful game day speeches.

To Dan, thank you for all the tips and tactics, the stats, the advice and the brilliant tour guide duties on what should have been your downtime.

To Kieran, thank you for all the planning and timekeeping, the organisation, the humour and the endless washing and sandwich making.

To you all, thank you for all this and so much more. Thank you for always believing, always working and always wanting the best for the entire Trailblazers squad. Thank you for being part of the journey and thank you, in advance, for what’s sure to come. When people as exceptional as this believe in you, the next chapter of the Trailblazers story will be epic.

Now we’ve shaken off the jetlag and before we hit the Christmas holidays, we wanted to give it up for the players who shone in Singapore.

First up, a massive congratulations to Aidan McHenry, who was awarded Tournament MVP. Aidan impressed all week, owning the midcourt and playing with a maturity way beyond his years. This is a well-deserved accolade for an exceptional player.

Then we have our squad awards and Ben Leighton took the title of Coach’s Player. Ben had a stellar week in defence, did all that was asked of him (and more) and worked hard every second he was on court.

Max Webb was voted Players’ Player and again, Max was on form in every game. As vice-captain, he led by example and took on all the challenges he faced on court while smashing it in the midcourt and in defence.

Finally, the award of Most Improved goes to Charlie Lough. Charlie’s shooting was on fire all week, sinking the long bombs without hesitation. He stepped up in every match and was a fantastic member of the squad.

Congratulations to these players and to the whole playing group on an incredibly successful week. Let’s see what 2025 brings…

From leading recovery to treatments, taping, and timing the dreaded ice baths, she does it all so here’s just a snippet of what a day on tour is like for Megan, the queen.

Fourteen reasons to smile... these fourteen young men who, for five matches, have played for each other and not themselves. They’ve enjoyed the highs together and lifted each other from the lows. They’ve made real the things they hoped for and they’ve made their own little bit of history along the way.

From walking away from last year’s Men’s Netball Nations Series without a win, to a place in this year’s semi-final after a hattrick of victories, this team has shown just what they’re capable of and what is yet to come. As Coach Wes has said, the story starts here and this group is writing an absolute blockbuster.

If you ever wondered if good things will really come when you work for them, here are fourteen reasons to believe they will.

This is a thank you note to all the parents out there - to those who drive miles, give up their time, wash the kit, take endless photos, provide the snacks, listen to the tales from training, support without question and love without limit.

And when it comes together, what’s it like? Here are two Trailblazer mums to tell us more...

And today, they made history. England Trailblazers recorded their first international win, beating Singapore 51-47 in The Merlion Cup.

It was an outstanding team performance and that team goes well beyond the seven on court. To the players, the coaches, the supporters, the domestic clubs and to everyone who has told these young men that there is a home for them in netball, that they can perform at the highest level and that the rewards for their hard work will come - thank you. This is just the start.

If yesterday’s loss was a bitter one, today’s victory is all the sweeter for it. Before the game, coach Wes told the squad that it’s up to them to change the ending. We can’t change what’s come before but we can always create what’s yet to come.

Today, it’s not just the ending that this group changed. It’s the entire story. Trailblazers, in every sense of the word.
